Day 14 ~ Cake making & guests start arriving

 7.30 morning swim with Esmé at her request and it was lovely :-)

Getting on with the cakes with a borrowed hand mixer after the Kenwood died :-(

The Kenwood Chef that Helen had bought for me from Trade Me and she and I had both checked it out, ho ho ho..... it blew blue smoke from its motor as soon as I turned it on!!!

 I managed to borrow a hand-mixer from a family in another bach

nothing like as easy or strong but I did finish all the cakes!

 I found a use for the Kenwood though; it made a good door stop!!!!
